Biography: The Phantom Corsair, a very unusual six-passenger coupe was designed by Rust Heinz, a member of the H. J. Heinz (57 Varieties) family. After collaborating with Christian Bohman and Maurice Schwartz who helped him build the car, Heinz planned to put the Phantom Corsair into limited production at an estimated selling price of $12,500. However, shortly after showing the Corsair at the New York World's Fair in 1939, Heinz died at only 25 years old. Despite such an untimely death, Rust Heinz was able to accomplish many things. Along with attending Yale University, he also designed and raced speed boats and was an active member of H.J. Heinz (57 Varieties).
