Biography: Mead moved to Southern California in 1975. His illustrations of futuristic cars have since appeared in many books. He is also well known for his work in the movies, including his design of the futuristic city in Blade Runner and Alien.

Mead has also designed cars for Volvo, American Motors and Raymond Loewy and Associates. Most recently, he has prepared architectural renderings and design illustrations of futuristic boats and planes.
