Biography: |
John Francis Marsh's career as a world renowned artist began when he was still a high school student in Connecticut submitting model cars to the GM Fisher Body Craftsman guild. At this time he also began designing silverware and painting in watercolors and oil.
During his years of designing for others, he continued to paint watercolors for himself and eventually realized that his instructors at The Art Center had been right -- he was meant to paint. So, in 1972, John left San Francisco for a quiet life in the Sierra Nevada foothills, purchasing 40 acres of land so like the New England landscape of his boyhood. He married in 2000 and continues to live a peaceful life as a painter. |
